- Houston TX: "Pet allergies! That is what my
vet said every time he saw my dog Buster (golden retriever)... My
dog was constantly scratching and licking. I finally took it
upon myself to find the real source of his ailments, not to mention
the constant trips to my vet and one day I totaled up the vet bills.
Ouch. Research on the internet introduced me to the concept of
feeding raw & from there I found BARF. BARF has helped Buster
stop all of the scratching and licking! I can't believe it was
just as simple as changing the food! Thank you so much!"

thrilled I am with your raw diet. My beautiful lab, Fetch, has
been eating your raw food since he was a puppy. Fetch is now 7
and he has never had to go to the vet for any type of problem such
as sickness, skin problem, or ear problem. Whenever I take him
for this wellness check the doctor is amazed at how wonderful he
looks and especially at how clean his teeth are-- the doctor will
always ask how many times a week I brush his teeth because they are
so clean. (I am a little embarrassed to say but I have never
brushed his teeth!) I attribute this to the bones in the raw
meat as well as feeding him raw meaty bones. Thank you,
Barfworld, for helping Fetch to live a happy and very healthy life.
I would never feed Fetch anything else. I am a true believer!"
Cheryl B. - Woodlands TX: "I really like the book
Feed Your Dog A Bone. It has been a great resource to helping
me understand dog nutrition, do's and don'ts. For example, I
never knew I could feed my dog a raw bone, or piece of meat, or even
a raw egg has tons of nutrition! Who knew? I reference
it quite a lot as I have a new pup and I am starting him on raw.
Thank you for the recommendation!"

Chicago IL: "Many thanks, I am new to the computer eeze,
as if you couldn't tell! Our dog is about 4 years old, we have
been his owners for approximately 3 months. He came to us via
the Chicago canine rescue. He was rescued from anti-cruelty
and he was about to be euthanized because he had unstoppable bloody
diarrhea... The caregiver was able to stop the diarrhea and have him
gain some weight. I was familiar with raw diet having just put
down a 14 and a half year old German Sheppard who lived to this ripe
old age after going on raw food after stomach difficulties at age
11. So we put our pooch on BARF. He is up to
78lbs...thanks for your fine product, I tell every dog owner I meet
about it."

go back! Plus it is really easy to feed & easy to order from
you. I am so glad I found your products! I thank you &
Mini thanks you too!"

L. - Houston TX: "What does the kelp supplement do & it
does my dog need kelp? I am feeding BARF."
Response from The Dog BOwl: "Great question!
Kelp, according to Dr. Billinghurst, 'is a biologically appropriate
source of iodine and over 600 trace minerals. Being a "sea
vegetable", kelp also contains other valuable nutrients including 21
amino acids and other health promoting phyto-nutrients. As a
valuable source of trace minerals, kelp promotes normal metabolism
in our pets. Modern processed foods, lacking such minerals (at
least in a bio-available form), allow the bodily malfunction,
deterioration and ultimately disease.' Kelp is a rich source
of vitamins, particularly the B vitamins and has been used in the
treatment of thyroid problems because of its iodine content.
Since many of these necessary ingredients are missing in foods today
we recommend supplementing your BARF diet with kelp. BARF Kelp
is 100% organic and contains no preservatives, fillers, color,
yeast, dairy or starch. Kelps promotes a healthy shiny coat
and helps to clean the digestive tract."

- Houston TX: "I started on BARF for
two reasons firstly because I was concerned at the young age my dogs
were losing teeth or they required Veterinary attention, and
secondly was the death of our beautiful German Shepherd, Zarra, due
to anal cancer. When Zarra was sick I consulted Sandra U. an animal
natural therapist, as what our Vet was prescribing was no longer
helping her. Sandra tried to convince me at that time not to feed
her, or any of my dogs the expensive premium food I was then feeding
and switch to a raw meat and vegetable diet. I did not listen and
although through the remedies she supplied for Zarra she gained an
extra 8 months of good quality life, we ultimately had to have her
put to sleep in December 1998. In February 1999 I made the switch to
BARF and have been feeding it ever since."
